Sabinsa, the multi-national health science company known for providing sustainable natural, well-researched ingredients, announces that Claire Briggs has joined the Sabinsa Australia New Zealand (ANZ) team as General Manager. In this role, Claire will lead new product development, navigate critical regulatory affairs opportunities, and drive business growth across the complementary medicine, functional foods, and sports nutrition markets.
Claire previously collaborated with Sabinsa on integrating its ingredients into product formulations, gaining in-depth knowledge of the company’s portfolio and valuable experience in successfully commercializing these ingredients into branded consumer products.
With 18 years of experience in the complementary medicines industry, Claire brings a wealth of expertise in innovation, research, clinical trials, and regulatory strategy. She is a qualified naturopath, nutritionist, and herbalist, having held pivotal roles in leading companies across the industry.
Most recently, Claire was with industry leader Blackmores Group, where she spent seven years managing global research and clinical trials, including a two-year tenure based in Singapore. Previously, she played a key role at Global Therapeutics (Fusion Health and Oriental Botanicals brands) managing product development and regulatory affairs. Claire also worked with Biomedica, a practitioner-only brand utilizing Sabinsa products, where she led brand development, innovation, formulation, and regulatory compliance.
"We are delighted to welcome Claire to our team,” said Jon Tilyard, Director, Sabinsa ANZ. “Her extensive experience and regulatory expertise will be a key differentiator in the markets we serve, driving innovation and business growth."
“I’ve seen firsthand the exceptional quality and efficacy of Sabinsa’s ingredients through my previous work experience formulating products with them. I’m excited to be part of the team and look forward to growing the business in Australia and New Zealand, while contributing to the company’s global innovation efforts,” Claire said.
