Legendary Carnatic musician, Sri. Umalayapuram K. Sivaraman, received the "Sami Labs VG Nair Memorial, Lifetime Achievement Award" at the Event.
Sami-Sabinsa Group sponsored the music concert JWALA, organized by the carnatic school of music, Swaralaya, in Bengaluru (India). Sami-Sabinsa was a platinum sponsor at the event. A stellar lineup of artists, including Sri. Umalayapuram K. Sivaraman, Sri. Miguel Czachowski, Sri. Stephen Devassy, and others, gave the city’s music lovers an auditory treat.

The Carnatic concert was held as a tribute to the late Sri. Venugopalan Nair (V.G. Nair), who served as the CEO of Sami-Sabinsa Group previously. In his honor, Swaralaya has instituted this award to recognize distinguished personalities in the world of music.
