In an enriching platform to enlighten and engage budding talents, Dr. Sarang Bani, Senior Advisor, Biological R&D, Sami-Sabinsa Group, was invited as the chief guest to share his knowledge on the nutraceuticals. The workshop was aimed at providing insights to students of Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy in Bangalore on advanced analytical instruments.

Over the past, there has been a paradigm shift from therapeutic to preventive system of medicine, and Sami-Sabinsa has been at the forefront in introducing innovative nutraceutical and cosmeceutical ingredients from plant products. At the event, Dr. Sarang Bani highlighted the development and safety of nutraceutical products for human wellbeing, with an emphasis on preventive medicine. Mr. Umar Ismail Khan, Chairman of the College, felicitated Dr. Sarang Bani at the event.

Mr. Mubarak Pasha, Senior Manager, Analytical R&D, Sami-Sabinsa Group, delivered a guest lecture on the recent advances in analytical techniques and the modern analytical instruments used in the pharma and herbal industries. At the session, the students were outlined on the research activities and the rigorous analytical validations carried out at Sami-Sabinsa for its global customers.

At a time when nutraceuticals are gaining more global relevance, the session provided the students with a better understanding of the industry.
