Mr. Kasaragod Ullas Kamath, M.Com., LL.B., F.C.A., A.C.S., M.Sc (LSE) was the Joint Managing Director of Jyothy Labs Ltd (JLL). While at JLL for 31 years, he was responsible for business development, new projects, M&A, and financial management. He has been the driving force in transforming JLL from a single brand family-owned enterprise to a multi-brand FMCG corporate with key brands like Ujala, Maxo, Exo, Pril, Henko, Margo, Mr.White, Chek, Neem & Maya. Under his leadership, Jyothy Labs had a successful IPO offering. He was also instrumental in the acquisition of Henkel AG's India operations helping Jyothy Labs become a formidable player in the Indian FMCG industry.
For his work and leadership, he has won several awards over the years including the coveted "All India CA Business Achiever Award - SME Category" instituted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also the recipient of the CNBC Awaaz Best CEO Award in the FMCG Category.
Mr. Kamath has participated in the Advanced Management Program at both Wharton Business School and Harvard Business School. He did his Global master’s in management from London School of Economics.
Mr. Kamath is an Independent Director at V-Guard Industries Ltd., Cochin, Snapdeal Ltd., New Delhi, and Veranda Learning Solutions Ltd., Chennai. Additionally, he serves on the board of Invest Karnataka Forum, a Government of Karnataka enterprise.
He also serves as the Chairman of FICCI Karnataka State Council and a Member of the FICCI Start-Up Committee, New Delhi. He is a member of the Governing Council of the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT, New Delhi.
